Flamboyant businesswoman and Ginimbi’s ex-lover Zodwa Mkandla is set to inherit the Domboshava mansion following Ginimbi’s death in a horrific car accident on Sunday morning.
According to reports from Zim Morning Post, the luxurious mansion which had become a status symbol at the peak of Ginimbi’s powers was co-owned by Ginimbi and Zodwa.
Sources close to the development have revealed that Zodwa has already started projecting herself as the surviving spouse, and is firmly taking charge of the mansion.
The matter only came to light after a 2018 court record with ownership details was leaked in court as Zodwa, sought to retrieve lost property worth $60 000 at the mansion in question.
In the court case, the State detailed that Zodwa lost the property at her Domboshava mansion to one of her security personnel, a man identified as Justice Jasi.
Zodwa and Ginimbi were once in a relationship, however, on numerous occasions, the late Ginimbi and Zodwa skirted around and never categorically stated their marital status despite the fact the two were once lovers and there are speculations and rumors that the two were married under Marriage Act which entitle them to dual ownership of properties.
With this new development, it has caused many to question if the two had joint ownership by virtue of being married, or the two were simply joint owners without marriage.
Meanwhile, on Monday Ginimbi’s family revealed that they were going to honor Ginimbi’s wishes and have the mansion turned into a tourist resort.
However, now that it has emerged that Zodwa is set to inherit the mansion as she is the co-owner, it is not clear what is going to happen to the mansion.
