Singer, Seyi Shay has come under fire for criticizing a 17-year-old boy who auditioned at a music competition, Nigerian Idol.
Seyi Shay said this after the boy’s performance which she was obviously not pleased with.
The artiste said;
I can’t believe what I just heard. Who told you to come here and audition? Somebody lied to you, go back and tell that person they are not your friend, because that was not a good audition. You have a good talking voice and it comes out in your singing voice but your performance is terrible.
Seyi Shay added;
You are never going to make money being a singer. I love you, you are so sweet but you are not a singer. If it’s for song writing, hit me up and we’ll talk but that thing (singing) is not gonna work. Sorry darling.
