Presidential aide, Tolu Ogunlesi, has asked Nigerians who are always seeking bad news about the country to go for psychiatric evaluation.
According to Tolu, the only thing that excites some Nigerians is bad news about their country and when there isn’t any, they try to twist the positive ones to make something negative out of it. He shared this thought on his Twitter handle.
”Some of you need to go for psych eval. To understand why it seems like the only thing you want to hear, that excites you, about Nigeria, is bad news. You will unlook anything that seems remotely positive, and when you can’t unlook, will seek to twist it into something negative.
There must be a scientific name for this psychological condition. Where bad news about your country is like the oxygen that keeps you alive and going, while you’re eternally dead to acknowledging anything good. There has to be a name for it.
