Kate Winslet couldn’t help but gush about her husband Edward Abel Smith, who she wed in a heated barn in the Catskill mountains, near New York, nine years ago.

While reflecting on her happy marriage with the 43-year-old nephew of Sir Richard Branson, formerly known as Ned Rocknroll, Winslet, 45, raved that her spouse is a ‘superhot, superhuman, stay-at-home dad.’

Although the pair share a seven-year-old son, named Bear Blaze, the star said her partner does an ‘especially’ great job looking after her.

She added: ‘He is an absolutely extraordinary life partner. I’m so, so, so lucky.’

‘For a man who is severely dyslexic, as he is, he’s great at testing me on lines. It’s so hard for him to read out loud, but he still does it,’ Winslet noted.

She also praised Abel Smith for always staying calm by eating a vegan diet, yoga, breath work and cold water swims.

Despite not planning on ‘meeting and marrying a woman who is in the public eye and therefore having been so judged,’ Winslet said he handles the spotlight well.

In addition to their little boy, she has a daughter Mia, 20, and son Joe, 17, from previous marriages to Jim Threapleton and Sam Mendes.
