UNIBEN (University of Benin) has released its academic calendar for the new session commencing in August 2021. As a result of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) industrial strike and the covid-19 lockdown in 2029, the university calendar has been altered. The academic calendar for the 2020/2021 session is shown below:
There will be a virtual matriculation exercise for fresh students on the 6th of August, 2021 and the fresh students are to move into the Halls of residence from 8th August, 2021. Old students will come into Halls of Residence from 15th August, 2021 and classes will commence on the 23rd of August, 2021.
This should be given wide dissemination so that those concerned can take note.
UNIBEN it is one of the oldest Government owned universities in the country. The university boasts of over fifteen (15) faculties and specialized schools, with a student population of over forty thousand (40,000). It is located in Benin City the Capital of Edo State.
