The 24-year-old Lalela Mswane from KwaZulu-Natal is a model and dancer and holds a Bachelor of Law qualification from the University of Pretoria.
“I possess the compassion, tenacity, leadership and people skills which render me a worthy title holder. With a willing heart, an open mind and an eagerness to learn and grow, it would be an absolute honour to reign as Miss South Africa 2021,” she previously told Channel24.
“I really wasn’t expecting it, which is why I started crying. I was so shocked because I was already so fulfilled and blessed to have made top three. So, for me, this is genuinely just the cherry on top,” Lalela told Catriona Gray in an interview moments after being crowned.
“I don’t even know where to start. My heart is filled with so much gratitude. I’m so appreciative. Thank you,” she said.
