His cause of death has not yet been announced. Phil’s agents Chris Davis Management issued a statement following his sad passing. The statement on Twitter reads: “It is with huge sadness we have to announce the passing of our friend and client Phil Butler.
“Our thoughts are with his friends and family. The world is a poorer place without him.”
A spokesperson for Chris Davis Management confirmed the star’s death on Twitter.
They wrote: “It is with huge sadness we have to announce the passing of our friend and client Phil Butler.

Fans rushed to pay tribute to the “class act,” who made history as one of the first ever comedian to perform for frontline troops in Afghanistan.

“RIP lovely talented man. What a terrible shock. We worked together on panto Cinderella and he was a wonderful kind friend.
“We spent Xmas day and New Year together had a truly fabulous time. I’ll miss you terribly.”
