It was all bubbly at the Teslim Balogun Stadium yesterday as the Super Eagles held their first training session ahead of the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup double-header qualifying games against the Central African Republic (CAR).

Gernot Rohr supervised the one-hour session alongside his assistant coaches while Alloy Agu, the team’s goalkeeper trainer, drilled the duo of Daniel Akpeyi and Francis Uzoho.

As of this morning, all 23 invited players are in camp following the arrival of Maduka Okoye.

Ejuke Chidera was the first to arrive on Monday morning, followed closely by Chidozie Awaziem, who came in a short while later. Daniel Akpeyi and Jamilu Collins were also among the early birds in the camp.

Others are Kevin Akpoguma, Joseph Aribo, Calvin Bassey, Ola Aina, Innocent Bonke, William Troost-Ekong, Leon Balogun, Onuachu Paul, Samuel Kalu, Taiwo Awoniyi, and Frank Onyeka.

Yesterday, Victor Osimhen and Kelechi Iheanacho came in alongside Kenneth Omeruo, Simon Moses, Francis Uzoho, and Shehu Abdullahi.

Injuries have forced Gernot Rohr into making several changes to his initial list of invitees.
