Reno Omokri questions Hisbah’s decision to interrogate parents of Miss Nigeria 2021, Shatu Garko
Reno Omokri has reacted to Islamic police, Hisbah’s decision to interrogate parents of Miss Nigeria 2021, Shatu Garko, over their daughter’s participation in the beauty pageant which she won last Friday, December 17.
Haruna Ibn-Sina, Kano Hisbah board commandant, in an interview with BBC Pidgin described Garko’s participation in the beauty pageant as “illegal”. Ibn-Sina added that participation in beauty pageantries is against Islamic tenets, and Garko’s action could encourage other girls to do same.
Reno a post shared on his Instagram page wondered why the Islamic police wants to interrogate parents of the 18-year-old queen when they haven’t interrogated others who were found wanting.
