‘Mamma Mia!’ stage show honouring Yemisi Ransome-Kuti and Taiwo Ajayi-Lycett holds today

The Nigerian adaptation of ‘Mamma Mia!’, the critically-acclaimed hit musical, will take the centre stage in Lagos today.

The musical, which is a command performance, will be held in honour of Yemisi Ransome-Kuti, Princess Adenrele Ogunsanya, and Taiwo Ajayi-Lycett.

The event will take place by 6 pm at the Shell Hall of Muslim Centre in the Onikan axis of the state.

Ogunsanya is a former secretary to Lagos state government (SSG) during the tenure of Babatunde Fashola, ex-governor of the state.

Ajayi-Lycett, on the other hand, is a Nollywood veteran and media personality.

The five-day event started on December 29 and is scheduled to end on January 2.

The original version of ‘Mamma Mia!’ was created in 1998 by Judith Cramer, the British theatre producer, alongside Catherine Johnson, British playwright.
