EFCC frees Obiano — after six days in detention, but seizes passport
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has released Willie Obiano, immediate past governor of Anambra state, on administrative bail.
According to Daily Trust, an official at the commission confirmed that the former governor was released yesterday but that his “passport was seized by the anti-graft agency as part of his bail conditions”.
Wilson Uwujaren, EFCC spokesman, hung up the phone when called to confirm the report.
