Facebook Lite app not working or throwing ‘you are using an unsupported version’ error? You’re not alone
Facebook is currently the most used social network in the world. Since its birth, millions of people have gotten used to visiting the platform daily for multiple reasons, TSB News reports.
Facebook offers multiple features that make it useful both for personal and entertainment purposes, as well as the professional or student segments.
For instance, users can create private groups with updates about work or school assignments. It also allows you to create group chats that support almost all types of multimedia files and even video meetings.
However, over the years the platform has gained more and more features, which has made the mobile app heavier. This complicated the access of users whose mobile devices have limited hardware resources.
So, the company launched Facebook Lite as a lighter version of the app. Lite allows access to many of the key features of the platform but taking up less space and requiring less-powerful hardware to run smoothly.
That said, currently many Facebook Lite users are unable to access the platform as the app is down or not working.
