How to watch the 2023 Grammys today – Tems and Burna Boy battle for awards

The much-awaited 65th edition of the Grammy Awards is finally here.

The event is scheduled to hold later in the day at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

Ahead of the award ceremony, here are a few things you need to know.

Host

This year’s edition of the award event will be hosted by Trevor Noah, the South African comedian and TV personality.

This makes it the third time in a row that Noah will host the award ceremony.

Time

The main award ceremony is scheduled to commence by 20:00 in LA (1:00 GMT) which is 2 am Nigerian time.

How to watch the award ceremony

The award ceremony will be aired live on CBS, the American commercial broadcast television and radio network.

Audiences can stream the event on Paramount Plus as well as Grammys’ website.

You can also follow the award via the social media handles of the Grammys.

Nigerians artistes nominated

Today’s award ceremony will feature Nigerian artistes who had a stellar year in 2022.

Burna Boy is up in the ‘Best Global Music Album’ category again for ‘Love, Damini’, his latest project, while ‘Last Last’, his hit song, also bagged a nomination in the ‘Best Global Music Performance’ category.

This is the third time the ‘African Giant’ crooner will be nominated for the ‘Best Global Music Album’ category at the Grammys.

Last year, he won the category. This was after he lost out to Angelique Kidjo in 2020.

Tems is another Nigerian seeking to make history.

The ‘Damages’ singer is nominated in the ‘Best Melodic Rap Performance’ and ‘Best Rap Song’ categories.
