Piers Morgan faces huge backlash for comments on Madonna’s face at Grammys

Piers Morgan is facing criticism after calling out popstar Madonna for her appearance at last night’s Grammy Awards in LA.

Madonna, 64, was seen looking wrinkle free with plumped up lips and a very taut face as she made a surprise debut on stage at the Crypto.com Arena to introduce Sam Smith and Kim Petras ahead of their performance of Unholy.

The Queen of Pop, who has won seven Grammys herself, seized her turn on the microphone to pay tribute to ‘all the little rebels’ at home, but it was her striking look that got fans talking.

Whilst fans rushed to social media to question the Material Girl’s ‘unrecognisable’ appearance, Piers took to social media to share his thoughts in his typically outspoken way.

Alongside a screaming emoji, and posting a close-up pic of Madonna at the bash, the 57-year-old TV presenter dryly asked fans: “I thought Halloween was in October?”

One fan tweeted back: “Dearest Piers…@Madonna has… Sold 300 million albums. Released 92 singles. Sold 100 million singles. Sold out 11 world tours. Grossed nearly $2 billion in tour revenue. Broken 26 world records. Win over 300 awards including Grammys and Golden Globes … just saying”.

“Oh wow…… I’ve always supported you, but this is a bit bullying. Not a good look for you,” added another.

Another simply asked Piers “Why are you like this?”

“You really shouldn’t comment on someone’s appearance, you never know what someone could be going through,” another fired off.

It’s not the first time Piers has come under fire for his comments about the Like A Prayer songstress.

Last month, Piers was branded ‘misogynistic’ and ‘ageist’ for comments he made about Madonna’s fashion choices.

Speaking to Jeremy Kyle, Piers quipped: “I think she’s become the most grotesque, trainwreck embarrassment in the history of world entertainment.”
