Serena Williams shares her pregnancy news with daughter Olympia, five, in adorable YouTube video
Serena Williams told her daughter that she is going to be a big sister in an adorable Youtube video posted to her channel on Tuesday.
The 41-year-old tennis superstar — who revealed she is pregnant with her second child on the Met Gala red carpet earlier this month — documented the moment she told Olympia, five, the happy news.
The clip, titled ‘Olympia’s Surprise’, started out with Serena showing the camera a close-up of a positive pregnancy test, revealing she was ‘super happy.’
Serena then recalled a funny anecdote as she told the camera that Olympia did not know she was pregnant yet, but did call her ‘fat’ and was ‘stressed out’ by her weight gain.
Later in the video the athlete was joined by her husband Alexis Ohanian, 40, as they broke the news to the little girl, who was overjoyed and began running and shrieking in excitement.
Serena looked stylish in a Gucci sweater and blazer as she started out the video while chatting to the camera vlog style.
‘Olympia does not know right now that I am pregnant, but she did call me fat, and then she got really like stressed out,’ she told the camera.
‘She was like “Mommy, you’re fat,”‘ Serena shared while mimicking Olympia’s distraught voice.
‘I tried not to take it personal, ’cause I’m like super into fitness, but I’m like, “uhh, am I?”‘
‘I’m really, really excited to see her reaction,’ she added.
The next clip saw the family sitting on the couch, with Olympia looking adorable in floral pajamas as she sat in between her parents.
‘Remember how you’ve been praying for a little sister or brother?’ Serena asked her.
‘Well, we went to the doctor, and it turns out I’m not getting fat,’ Serena said as her husband laughed.
