Cameroonian renowned comedian Cabrel Nanjip Nyamton has died in a ghastly road accident this Thursday, June 15, 2023.
The accident took place in Boumnyebel along the Douala-Yaoundé highway. According to reports, “his car was violently hit by a truck on the road between Pouma and Edéa, and ended up in a valley.
Cabrel was said to be heading to Yaoundé from Douala with his driver onboard — when the tragic incident occurred.
In a video which has now gone viral, he can be seen being taken out of his damaged blue car.

The lover of late Cabrel Nanjip Nyamton has said that many people wanted him dead.
In an emotional live video on Facebook watched by tens of thousands, Laure Moa Minga said she had been receiving news of Cabrel’s death, even days before his demise.
“You premeditated his death. You kept putting up posts and sending messages saying he died, you are all responsible,” Minga cried out.
Cabrel Nanjip Nyamton died in an accident on Thursday, June 15th, 2023. His vehicle was reportedly crushed by a truck in Boumnyebel, as he traveled to Yaounde from Douala.
Minga has described Cabrel as her mentor and love of her life. The duo, followed by millions of Cameroonians have featured in several comic skits, movies and online contents.
Minga said she is yet to believe that Cabrel is gone for good.
“I am still waiting for you to give me a call Cabrel, I am waiting, please give me a ring,” she continued. The body of Cabrel has been deposited at the Edea Hospital Mortuary.
