Zenith Bank emerges title sponsor of Africa Comedy Academy
The Africa Comedy Academy has unveiled plans to host the fourth edition of the Laughter on Lockdown series— The Independence Day Show, aptly titled LOL 4.
The Independence Day show is set to take place on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Terra Kulture Arena, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Unveiling the title sponsor for the event, the Events and Talents Manager for AfriCAs, Omotola Ayodeji, said, “We are delighted to announce that Zenith Bank will again serve as the title sponsor.”
Providing some insight into the show, he added, “This is more than just a comedy show. It is a full-fledged entertainment display.”
On his part, the Group Managing Director of Zenith Bank, Ebenezer Onyeagwu, stated that the company’s dedication to celebrating Nigeria’s diverse talent was the driving force behind their continued support for the event. He added, “Nigerians are renowned for their tenacity. Despite numerous differences, this unifying characteristic underscores the Nigerian identity. We are committed to providing value to our customers, and the LOL concept provides a fun way to remind everyone of the true essence of being a Nigerian.”
Previous editions featured top comedians and music stars such as Kenny Blaq, Buchi, SLK, Senator, Aproko, MC Forever, the late Sound Sultan, Faze, Ayra Starr, and The Cavemen.
This year, Davido Music Worldwide signee, Peruzzi, will be on hand to thrill guests.
