“You are unusual” Benjamin Hundeyin tackles BBNaija Phyna after she clashed with a police officer
Benjamin Hundeyin, the Spokesperson of Lagos State Police Command, has replied Big Brother Naija ‘Level Up’ winner, Phyna over video of her calling out a police officer for filming her.
TSB News reported over the weekend that Phyna had gotten into a heated exchange with a police officer for recording her, which prompted her to go live on social media.
The police officer had stopped her on a highway for a stop and search operation, which turned into a verbal exchange after he filmed her.
The police officer made it known that capturing photos and videos of those they are tracking is within the bounds of the law. This didn’t sit well with Phyna, who stated that she had never heard of such a law before.
Taking things to another level, Phyna slammed those encouraging the police to take action against her, as she questioned why the hate against her.
Replying her, SP Benjamin pointed out how Nigerians are never angry when they film police officers but find it hard and consider it harassment when a police officer does the same to them.
Noting the hypocrisy, he stated that Nigerians can’t take what they dish, as he revealed that the reality star was breaking the traffic rule, hence, the reason she was filmed as evidence.
“If you were in my shoes, somebody carries phone on your face, you’ll get angry. You’ll get angry! – a Nigerian 🙄
You guys can’t even take what you dish out. A police officer uses his phone to record you, not randomly, but while you’re breaking a traffic rule and you’re all worked up about it, asking which law empowers him to rightfully get evidence. You’re unusual.
But law does not matter when you record police officers in the line of duty, sometimes just to agitate them and quickly scream harassment.”
