Nigerian police sets to prosecute LGBTQ+ members in viral TikTok video

The spokesperson of the Nigerian Police Olumuyiwa Adejobi in a post on social media reacts to the viral video of LGBTQ+ members adding that will be prosecuted for it.

Recall, that an LGBTQ+ community identified as chronicles of our rainbow jumps on the trending “Of Course” challenge.

The members who are obviously proud of one another came out and by extension started describing themselves adding that they don’t care what people talk about them.

One said; “I’m a lesbian, masculine representing woman and of course always ask me, if I’m a footballer.’

Another one said; “I’m bisexual of course everyone think I’m a prostitute.”

A member uttered; “I’m a lesbian with kids of course people want to know how I got them.”

Another member spills; “I’m a trans man of course people want to know what is down there.”

One who classified herself as non-binary reveals; “I’m non binary of course, of course people want me to pick if I’m a man or woman but who cares..”

However, a social media user identified as King Yusuf calls out the Nigerian Police over the trending matter on the social media space.

He wrote; “@Princemoye1 @PoliceNG una no update us say LGBTQ is now legal in Naija 🇳🇬 o. Buh no shaking, all of us go well last last..”

Responding, spokesperson Olumuyiwa Ademoye said the Nigerian police are already working on the trending clip and the necessary action will be taken.

He added that the LGBTQ+ guys are criminals and punishable under the law adding that they will be prosecuted.

He wrote; “They are criminal and punishable under the law. We are on this clip to take necessary action according to the provisions of the law in Nigeria. These are unnatural offences and are totally condemned. Thanks.”
