Nigerian rapper Remilekun Abdulkalid Safaru better known as Reminisce in a video circulating on social media disclosed that it was Wizkid who helped Drake in the hit song “One Dance”.
The nostalgic bop dubbed “One Dance” by Drake featuring Wizkid recently made history as it became the 7th song on Spotify to have 3billion views.
The song was released in the year 2016 and following it release, it continues to generate a high replay value, shattering records and even bagged Grammy nomination.
Following the success of the song, a video of rapper Reminisce having an interview with Hip TV where he speaks his mind about the “One Dance” song is now going viral.
In the circulating throwback video, Reminisce said that Wizkid changed Drake’s music career with his amazing lyrics in the song “One Dance.”
He noted that Wizkid who was already established at that time put the country’s name on the world map and also changed the narration about African music with the wonder he did on “One Dance” also captured global attention at that time.
Reports also disclosed that Canadian rapper Drake had ZERO #1 charting songs as a lead up until 2016 “One Dance” where he featured Wizkid.
