A father-of-two ran off with his girlfriend’s mother just days after the daughter gave birth to his baby son.
Jess Aldridge, 24, was expecting her second child with boyfriend Ryan Shelton, 29, when the pair decided to form a support bubble with her mother Georgina, 44, and her husband Eric at their £270,000 semi-detached home in Stow-on-the-Wold, Gloucestershire.
The grandmother-of-six began flirting with the car parts salesman just weeks afterwards, and they began an affair while Ms Aldridge – a former Premier Inn housekeeper – while she was still heavily pregnant.
By the time Ms Aldridge had returned home from hospital with her newborn, Reuben, they had run off together and moved into a new home 30 miles away. The couple had their first child, called Georgiana, in September 2019.
A ‘heartbroken’ Ms Aldridge told The Sun: ‘It’s the ultimate betrayal. You expect a new grandmother to fall in love with the baby — not the father.
‘She is meant to be a granny to my two children and helping me look after them but instead she’s off sh***ing my boyfriend.’
Ms Aldridge said she first decided to move back in with her mother in the hopes that she would be able to help her with childcare.
However over the course of a few months, Ms Aldridge began to notice her boyfriend and her mother ‘always being so flirty’ and drinking Bacardi while ‘joking around in the kitchen every night’.
When she confronted the pair about their behaviour they denied anything was happening but Ms Aldridge later discovered the pair had been having a secret affair during her pregnancy.
On January 28, Ms Aldridge welcomed her son Reuben into the world via C- section at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.
But just hours later, she received a text message from Mr Shelton, who had only seen Reuben for a few minutes after he was born and for ten minutes the day after, ending their three-year relationship.
After she was discharged, Ms Aldridge was shocked to discover Mr Shelton and her mother had moved out of their home.

They continued to deny they were in a relationship until they were confronted once again two days later.
Her shameless mother told her: ‘We can’t help who we fall in love with.’
The pair have now confirmed that they are a relationship on Facebook.
Ms Aldridge said her mother – who had been married once before – had previously spoken to her about wanting to separate from her husband of 12 years Eric a few weeks before she went into hospital.
The new mother, also claims that neither her mother nor Mr Shelton have apologised to her.
