A groom has been charged with four counts of rape after a woman was sexually attacked on his wedding day.The 24-year-old victim was walking through Victoria Park in Hackney, London, just after midnight on Friday when a man dragged her into the bushes and raped her then demanded cash.
Derry Flynn McCann, 28, of Hackney, was arrested and charged with four counts of rape and robbery six days after the attack on January 13.Earlier on January 13, McCann had been married.McCann appeared in Thames Magistrates court on January 20 charged with four counts of rape and one count of robbery against the 24-year-old woman. A hearing has been scheduled for February 16.
