A food blogger and a writer by the name @MoniqueMonrowe on Twitter has rejected the idea of a man being the head of the household.
She claimed that such believe is biblical, old and outdated and she won’t allow her children follow that principle.

I strongly reject the idea that the man is the head of the house and it’s not a concept I’m going to teach my children nor abide by.
The idea that a man is the head of a household of head of a woman is deep rooted into religion and specifically the bible. I cannot accept a concept written at a time period where women did not have equal consideration or power.
This does not reconcile with today’s reality or the modern woman or family. A lot of biblical concepts do not. We have to use interpretation to work out which ones we deem appropriate.
