Thomas Markle is set to miss his daughter’s wedding because he is having heart surgery, it has been reported. It has been claimed he will undergo surgery at 7.30am local time on Wednesday, meaning he will miss the ceremony. He reportedly told TMZ: ‘They [doctors] will go in and clear blockage, repair damage and put a stent where it is needed.’
Yesterday it was claimed Meghan’s father would not give her away due to concerns he had embarrassed her or the royal family over photographs apparently posed with paparazzi. He also said he had a heart attack one week ago.
TMZ reported that he changed his mind on going to the wedding after Meghan text him saying she loved him and was worried about his health. However, today he reportedly began having chest pains and checked himself into hospital, where he was told he needed surgery.
