In order for you to know if you’re dating a narcissist, we need to understand who a narcissist is and how their mind works. Narcissism is often interpreted in popular culture as a person who’s in love with him or herself or the idea of self importance that is based on nothing.
Here are a few ways to check if you’re dating a narcissist
Likes to talk about himself
They like to be the center of attention and would often times dominates the conversation rarely giving you a chance to talk about yourself or your life.

Always Interrupting Conversations.
A narcissist has a way of constantly interrupting others and redirecting the conversation so its all about them. There’s always very little discussion about you.
Has a sense of Entitlement.
They have a sense of entitlement and as a result, expect preferential treatment from others. They pointedly refuse to help out and would wait for someone else to do whatever task is at hand.
Negative Emotions.
Narcissists thrive on spreading and arousing negative emotions to gain attention or feel relevant. They bloom when you’re insecure, scared, or when you feel like less of yourself.

Emotionally Abusive
Narcissists are often quick to judge, criticize, and ridicule. In relationships, they never take responsibility, choosing instead to blame you and everyone else. Making you feel inferior boosts their ego and makes them feel better about themselves.
