Under the management of Ole Gunnar Solskjær, he made his competitive debut on March 6, 2019 as an 87th-minute substitute for Ashley Young in a 3–1 win against Paris Saint Germain in the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) Champions League. On March 10, 2019, he made his Premier League debut from the bend in a 2-0 defeat to Arsenal. On May 7, 2019, he was named Premier League 2 Player of the Month for April 2019. On May 12, 2019, he made his first senior start for Premier League 2 in a 2–0 defeat to Cardiff City.
