Cause of Death
Atang died on the21st of February after a three-day programme of Wordspring Gospel and Worship Centre, Onitsha, Anambra State.
The cleric died at Onitsha early Monday morning after complaining of chest pain on Sunday.
He had preached in a programme at Onitsha on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
His corpse arrived Uyo yesterday evening due to the sit at home in Anambra state. His driver had to use short cuts to get to Uyo.
Before leaving for Onitsha, he had complained of stress and said he will get proper rest when he returns from Onitsha but could not make it.
Akwa Ibom State Governor
In a statement issued by Akwa Ibom State Government Media Unit and obtained by our correspondent, the Akwa Ibom State Governor visited the family to console them of the sudden demise of the pastor.
According to the statement, “His Excellency, Mr Udom Emmanuel, today visited the home of renowned Uyo based cleric, Pastor Ezekiel Atang who passed on suddenly two days ago.
”The Governor commiserated with the family on the demise of the Late Senior Pastor of God’s House of Refuge who left behind his wife, Dr Dara Atang, three children, aged mother, elder brother and other relations.”
